Places to visit.
The Guadiaro valley has many beautiful towns and villages, many connected by signposted walks. There are also some famous caves with prehistoric paintings. A railway runs through the valley and there is a station within minutes of the farmhouse.
The nearby town of Cortes de la Frontera is worth visiting. There are a number of excellent restaurantes and tapas bars.
Montejaque is a lovely white mountain village found on the road from Cortes to Ronda.

Ronda is less than a thirty minutes drive away or you can take the train.
Historically important, Ronda is famous for its, gorge, bridges, bullring and Roman remains.
Inland, the great Andalucian cities of Granada (Alhambra Palaces - photo below), Sevilla, Córdoba, Cádiz and Jerez are all easily to visit from the farmhouse as day trips.

Towards the coast you can visit Gibraltar as well as the famous Costa Del Sol resorts of Estepona, Marbella, Fuengirola, Benalmádena and Torremolinos.
A train ride to Algeciras and a ferry to Africa .. visit the Spanish enclave of Ceuta or visit Morocco and Tangiers.
Closer to home, the Genal Valley villages of Gaucín, Benarrabá and Algatocín are easily visit in around twenty minutes drive of the farmhouse. Each is a whitewashed village with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Again excellent restaurants and tapas bars can be found in each of these villages.
